Jenna’s Fan

One of my favourite compositional devices, other than the circle, is the shape of a fan. This theme began in 1982 when I had an exhibition in Paris titled “Fanner” at which I showed a series of works on paper on the theme of fans and people using fans. Ever since then I have incorporated the fan shape and theme in numerous paintings. This one is from 2014 and dedicated to my lovely daughter, Jenna.
