For the friend we cherish

Our lives are surrounded with people; those who live near us; those we may work with; our family and our acquaintances. But very few, if any, are people we really treasure deeply and hold dear. This painting shows a background of people whose sameness makes it difficult to differentiate one from another. In a world that is ever changing, symbolised by the wave entering from the right, we seek out individuals who may fill those blank spots in our desires and in our lives. If we are lucky, we may occasionally find the golden fit that we highly prize.
