Past lives enrich the soil and bring a connection to the cycle of life

A few years ago I spent some time in Malta which is where my family originate from. As I travelled around looking for the places where my parents were born and where they lived as children, I couldn’t help but feel a personal connection to the prehistoric landscape. I thought of all the people over the centuries that had lived and died on that ancient land. I fixed those thoughts and memories into this painting.
